You don't give a lot of detail here. Is the Government trying to take your house because you are on public benefits? Are your mortgage payments behind? Does the government want to buy your house so they can use the land for a project? You should get a lawyer. If you are not able to afford a lawyer, see if you can find a referral service in your area that can refer you to a lawyer that will assist you on a sliding fee scale. You may want to check with your local District Attorneys office to see if they can help. You will need to give them more information than you left in this question though. I suggest that you start keeping a log of the issues you encounter, as well as who you spoke to about this, what you spoke about, and when you spoke. Keep track of everything. Good Luck
