if the number is 7, then 2 x 7 + 28 = 6 x 7
if the number (y) is greater than 7, then 2y +28 < 6y for any number. compare 2 x 8 +28 < 6 x 8 with 2 x 5 > 6 x 5.

set x as the number
2x + 28 = 6x
-4x=-28 (collect like terms)
x>/= 7 (divde by -4, but when inequalities are divided by negative number, sign switches direction)
x is greater or equal than 7

The answer is 7 and this is how I worked it out.
Subtract 2n from 6n and you get 4n. Divide both sides (28<4n) by four, the quotient is seven. BUT if the 4n was negative, you would switch the sign from n<7 to n>7.
