The spitfire is the obvious choice, although the Hurricane is definitely an unsung hero.The Typhoon was a pretty sexy heavy fighter, but the Lancaster bomber wins it for me.I was lucky enough to see it returning home from an airshow 2 weeks ago.
The mustang had a fantastic range for a fighter, though.
