Wouldn't it be cool to go to work or go on the bus without shoes?

Yeah actually it will be cooler if we put off all of our clothes.

Carry minimal flip flops and a barefooter's first aid kit.

Flip flops can go in the waistpack.

Barefooter's first aid kit in a small case is a couple of sewing needles, tweezers, toenail clippers, some band-aids. Needles are for draining blisters. Tweezers are for wood spinters affecting walking or glass splinters. Toenail clippers act as deeper tweezers because they can press harder around what tweezers couldn't remove. Band-aids obviously cover wounds.

I'm all set for barefoot, shoes required, and barefoot first aid. All that's left in hotter heat is when I will put on the flip flops when the soles are really burning on the asphalt—either just before or just after my soles got blisters.

I sometimes lose the shoes and socks at work but only when it's *really* quiet. I wouldn't normally walk around public places barefoot - too many hazards - but I go to a nudist club and rarely wear footwear (or anything else) when I'm there. It's a good feeling.

I do walk around barefoot most of the time. The only time I wear shoes is to go to the store, out to eat, and then they are flip flops or thong type shoes. Easy to slip on and off.

Cool; yes. Safe; no. I love going around in bare feet outside, but there are just too few places where I can.

I don't know about going on the bus, but as soon as I walk in my office, the first thing I do is take off my shoes...

uhm... it's not like all the sharp things on the ground dissapear in the summer... besides, the sidewalk is REALLY hot during the summer!! I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to have sore feet all day long!!! And the roads/ sidewalks/ buses aren't exactly made of plush carpet!!! They are pretty rough!! That would REALLY hurt.

Because you can hurt your feet if you step on something like a piece of glass or a rock or you could stub a toe or someone could step on your foot also the ground can be very hot too.

The asphalt is hot enough to cook an egg, sunny side up! I still walk around my neighborhood bare foot though. Try getting crocks.

Think about what's on the bus and office floor - everything coming off of everyone else's shoes! Spit, gum, dirt, grime, and all other yuckies. And when you think about it... if you weren't wearing shoes, then you'd be getting all of that all over your feet... eew!
