8 glasses (of 8 ounces) per day. To equal 64 total ounces. I've also heard it recomended to drink half of your body weight in ounces per day.. So someone that is 120 pounds should drink 60 ounces per day. Of course you should drink more if you are doing any kind of exercise!!

8 8oz glasses of water a day is the recommended amount. Any time you drink soda, coffee, tea or other caffeinated products, you should drink more water, as caffeine dehydrates you. To give you an idea of what the size is, a normal can of soda is 12 ozs. The smaller bottled sodas/waters come in 16 ozs.

Do you not have a liquid measuring cup in your kitchen? Cups on one side ounces on the other!
Now, I've just finished reading in this month's Cosmo that the eight 8oz glasses of water is supposed to be total. You have to factor in how much total liquid you take in a day, coffee, soda, juice, etc. Just try to make it mostly water if you are looking to improve your skin.
Also, the way you spell and word a sentence is a reflection on your overall intelligence... seeing as you didn't know there were 8oz in a cup, I'd learn to spell. First off, it's "heard" not "herd".

1 cup is 8 oz. You are supposed to drink 8 glasses per day (64 oz.) I find that if you drink 10 glasses, or 80 oz per day, your skin gets really clear, you have a certain glow, your hair looks good, and you can tan easier....
