*sigh* I can't leave home without it or I start panicking. makes one wonder how did I survive before cell phones were around.

I never turn the power completely off. When I am working or in a location where it would be best to keep it quiet, I put it on silent mode; the lights flash when it rings so I know if there is a call or message.
I use it as an alarm clock, so it is on or next to my bed when I sleep, but I often leave it in my bedroom when I am at home and with my purse away from home, so I can leave the room without it.
I work in the cell phone industry, so one of the things I first notice about a person is the type of cell phone they carry. I recognize new models when they appear in television shows or movies and often know when a show or movie first aired based on the phone models.
