Isn't it curious that liberals, those purported omnipotent, super intellectuals are always quick to shout out and interrupt any other speaker that they don't agree? Steal school newspapers in the middle of the night? Did you hear about the NJ assembly women that want to ban Ann Coulter's book? Hmmmmm, facism comes to mind about now.

fine, use it for you toilet paper. As a conservative, I support your right to wipe your *** with the Koran if you want to. But the charge stands: why are liberals such facist censors of speech if it is not in support of aborting 4.5 million babies?

Ortega:Conservative. What's so difficult about that? Hispanics are actually quite socially conservative. The problem with most of my hispanic brethren is that believe the gov't to be the solution. Hence the misconception that hispanics are liberal. And when you have whites riddled with white guilt willing to shower them with handouts, well, you do the math.

I just finished Coulter's new book, a must read! It really opened my eyes to a few new connections between liberalism and tyranny. Plus I had to completely reconsider my views on Darwinism! I really enjoy books that make you think!
Oh, to answer your question: liberals also like to protect any speech that is pro choice, pro gay, pro tax, probiggovernment, etc...
hope that helps!

some of them sometimes make the otherones look bad. Just as some conservatives make all conservatives look bad, such as ann. people on the extremes of both sides will allways be continually pissing each other off. And sometimes it seems they grow further to the right and left only to get a reaction out of the other side. They did that!!, well lets see what they think about this!! and the insanity grows, both sides thinking they are fighting evilness. It seems to be a battle of either good against good, or evil agianst evil. People should get a little bit more control of their emotions, and use some logical thinnking, and common sense. However it just isn't common enough anymore.

No one should ban Ann Coulter's book (if that claim is even true) but to criticize people's freedom to stand up and denounce a mongoloid skank like Ann Coulter is fascist in itself.
You should be partisan for the People, not a blind appoligist for the party that is against you. Ann Coulter is like Valerie Solanas... a nut. Why do you get behind that garbage? Dsigraceful comments about 9-11 victims? That is easy prey because no politicians son or daughter was killed... c'mon, think clearer.

I don't believe liberals are in support of banning books or the free speech of those they don't agree with. The point is to argue against an opposing view and defeat it with truth and logical argument. This is a great challenge because some conservative people are irrationally wedded to their backward views. Nevertheless, education, opening up one's mind, being accepting and respectful of diversity is the key in the long run. For example, if you are not in favour of abortion, don't have one. Or, you may not be gay, but let others be gay and respect them as fellow human beings. Being liberal means not trying to shut others down just because you don't agree with them. Nobody has that right.

Liberals do NOT protect acts of Treason: if they did, they'd all land in jail ( and wouldn't that be a 'tragedy', now would it?).
Liberals on the surface all appear to support "total freedom of speech", when they actually support only the forms of speech that meets their approval standards. And yes, the radical ones of the bunch cross lines and make midnight thefts of school newspapers and steal TV media time opposing books that their writers also have the SAME free speech rights!!
Bottom line: Liberals are media hungry people, seeking ego massage by public / legal defense of the rights of publicly obscene people. Liberals publicly decry "EVERYONE HAS RIGHTS.....as long as they meet our approval".
Liberals stubbornly refuse to accept that Utopia as a society can never be.

Ann Coulter is just mean. She says things for the sole purpose of hurting people. That's never been protected speech.
Other than that, free speech is free speech. Whether you like it or not. There are just a few categories that are unprotected. Threats, hate-based incitement, defamation. It's sad that Ann Coulter stoops to using these unprotected categories to try and spread her hate-based messages.
But aside from that, those who value free speech fight to protect all speech, whether they agree with it or not.

Well, just a rumor I heard about Liberals... they're so open minded their brains fell out of their heads. Did you hear about the liberals who wanted to ban a HS year book b/c two seniors quoted Hitler. Gimme a break! It wasn't anti-Semitic remarks, they were non-offensive actually. "Power lies in attack, not defense". Way to teach our budding future freedom of speech.
I love those Libs who got the "under God" taken out of the Pledge of Allegiance. Kiddin' me?? That's offensive! Freedom of speech means you have the choice to say it or not. By taking it out, they've taken away my freedom. This country is based on a belief in God. No one says which God, just a higher power. But, I guess we're all going to have to start praying to the Liberals pretty soon. Wait, that might be offensive to someone, Damn... I'm probably going to get sued now!

Another idiot, repuglican, hat size bigger then their IQ. While I do not agree with Coulters book she has a right to say what she wants. This is America. Remember or did you forget with the appointed one trampling on the constitution and our rights every day, but I suppose that is ok.

A different perspective, pls give it some thought:
I am a Health Caare professional.......we take an (liberal) oath to treat ALL, regardless of any personal characteristic(s). I am financially conservative........So be careful of denigrating the term and persons professing 'liberalism' unless you want an Aide to take care of you and your loved ones in the ER !!!!
And, oh yes, we call the police, etc. when a patient's injuries are attributable to aggression......

People that spew hatred like Ann Coulter?
And I find it funny that you point out that someone wants to ban Ann Coulter's book. How many conservative politicians, groups, etc... jump out there and try to ban anything be it movies, music, books, etc... that don't agree with their "sensitivities?" I'm sure there's many many many more instances of that occurring.

Fascism came to the United States a long time ago ... but that is another point entirely. By the way it is not Fascism; it is Neo-Feudalism.
As to protected speech, yeah, I think the libbies protect your right to ask inflammatory and slanderous segued questions.
