Overkill, Black Sabbath bands that just belted out the chords, now I look on my PC for something called an mp3 (I know what it is I'm up to date on data) and it gives some ringtone site.
In some strange way I miss the 80's hardrock sounds, bands like G&R filled the air waves every where you went and no one thought about $3 gas prices and $4 gal's of milk it was just rock on.
Ok Yahoo looking for your feed back..

American Idol and mainstream music happened to those bands. Shifting trends in what people find as "good music". Think Disco and modern day rap..it's a trend...and it's horrible. A lot of tallent goes unnoticed because of it :(

I`m stuck in the 80`s. Hair metal bands . I got to see G&R open up for Motley Crue on my birthday in 1987. That was before they became so big. Ozzy 4 times Whitesnake , Dio, Quiet Riot, Iron Maiden,Judas Priest, Queenryche, Accept I could go on and on.

They got better individually and broke up. Or they got married and broke up...Or they just got old and sometimes they like to jam in stuff in the basement like they used to,. right? Doubtful, you never hear of anyone having jams anymore... Maybe some decide to have a reality show about themselves and they dress up like they used to on stage and they wear the same thing everyday. And if they wore heavy eye makeup it still hide the wrinkles.

What happened? MTV happened. MTV decided it was passe and told the labels they wouldn't play the videos anymore. The labels (run by sheep, btw) bowed down in reverence and told the hard rock bands that they wouldn't spend money to promote them anymore, and then offered "grunge" to the masses in it's place.
