Of course you're gonna get a whole mix of answers. Personal reflection:
Chatrooms: No longer go in them coz I was totally humiliated by someone I developed an online relationship with by trying to get a supporter about something that really was bothering me. In the end, the person was posing as someone else!!!!! Though, with greater discretion, chatrooms is a good way to meet people, but I leave that to others.
BLogs: Sometimes good. A way to let others know how you're feeling, like wanting others to read your diary but not really letting others know who you are unless you give 'em access. However, I got slammed once for posting something by accident without permission (the link kept updating her blog and I felt so horrible). My friend didn't speak to me for about a month. We're friends now but, ohhhh, the agony of it all.
Addicting!!!! I have maybe 10 blogs dedicated to different things.
Heck, I'm hooked to this Answers too !
Great for promoting oneself: MySpace and Band Amp is great for independent musicans, especially the latter which musicians help each other critique and improve each other's songs.
Also, it's great in searching for old friends and even meeting friends of friends, and perhaps developing something deeper (in the middle of something right now).

Well,the internet can be useful and harmful.This is because of the internet predators on the internet and the pornography which is very harmful for kids who r under age.
The good thing is that it gets all the information u want on the net,u could chat,etc.

Internet is a bad thing or good thing it,s completely depends upon your way and purpose to use it. I thing it is one of the best thing because we can get lot of information about world in few seconds .

It has it good and bad points. A good point is how readily information is available for us. On the minus side, some of us try to substitute the internet for other aspects of our lives.

Mix. Consider the porn that we see that is bad, but the knowledge we learn then that's good. So it is a balanced mixture of God and Bad Points.

I think it depends. I believe it is good if you are looking for good things. For someone with maybe not so good intentions, it can be bad
