what i think is interesting is the war. It's been awhile since I've read the book, but "we've always been at war with Eurasia" then it suddenly turns to "we've always been at war with Indoasia(or whatever it was called, like I said it's been awhile).

any-hoot, this reminds me of the war in Afghanistan....we were at war there, then all of a sudden we were in a war in Iraq. it was like we were always at war in Iraq.

"Afghanistan? no, we've always been in Iraq"

Freedom is Slavery; War is Peace; Ignorance is Strength. This is the motto heralded by Big Brother in George Orwell’s book, but also the credo for Bush's America. In Orwell’s society, a person can be arrested not just for public speech, but for their private thoughts as well. In our nation, this nightmare has come to life through Bush’s USA Patriot Act

So true. If more Bush/Cheney supporters read this book, they'd stop being Bush/Cheney supporters.
