It is a false assumption that most humans want peace. At our core, what we really want most is control. We want control over our lives, our freedoms, our cultures, our traditions, our resources, etc.

Anything that threatens our sense of control leads to another basic instinct called fear.

When humans fear something, they inevitably seek to destroy it.

In a world with unlimited human wants and finite resources, natural selection does not favor those peoples, cultures, and civilizations that only want peace. It favors those who want control.

Because too many people are nosy and can't stand to keep their
nose in their own business instead of their neighbors. If people
would stop worrying about how other people live, worship ,love,
hate, own , act and etc there would be no wars. Then there would
be no fights or envy. People do not have to agree on everything or
for that matter anything but should not force their opinions on
everyone else or expect the world to live as you say.
What a beautiful world this could be and it would not ever be
boring if there was always peace. It could be really exciting.

The carnal mind wants to rule and become a power. Men are born carnal. (sinful) The last resort of every false religion is force. There is no surer sign you serve satan, than you have a displsition to hurt or destory. There is no such thing as a peace keeping force!!!!There will be wars and rumors of wars......

Because humans want peace only when it's on their own terms. If they don't have enough food/comfort/energy/resources/land/etc compared to their neighbors, then peace is less important compared to their need to seize what they want. Thus conflict.

The answer is that no person really only wants peace. What people want is peace "and" things to be the way they want them to be. For example, you want peace, yet if someone wants to kill you, then you want to protect yourself and your status quo. If you truly wanted peace, then you would let the attacker kill you and you would have peace.
