Since "centrifical force" is in play, does the water stay flat to the bottom of the bucket, or does it curve diagonally onto the corner of the bucket, since there is 2 forces pulling at it.

If the bucket is swinging around you at a constant speed, the water will be flat against the bottom of the pail. As the speed is changed, the water will lag behind or press ahead depending whether it is accelerating or decelerating.

First of all, at the bottom of the bucket, the water takes the shape of the bucket. If you are concerned with the surface of the water in the bucket, that is a different question.

Since you are locally (water in the bucket) just increasing the effective gravity, the surface changes very little. At the edges, where surface tension is in a balance with gravity, you will see a slight change in the cusp, depending on the material construction of the bucket.

The situation with a curved surface is introduce when there is local rotation (put the bucket on the merry go round).

It is against the side of the bucket. At stable speeds it will form polygonal shapes in the water at the bottom of the bucket.

It's centripetal force, not centrifical, or maybe centrifugal is what you meant even, but at a constant rate it should be about the same as the bucket at rest.
