THe best attraction in Vegas to propose would be at the fountains at Bellagios. BUT, please wait for one of the good musical selections. There are about 15 different selections to which they have the music cooreagraphed. It would be great if you could wait for a selection by Frank Sinatra, like "My Way", or the one by Pavorati (or someone who sounds like him singing in Italian), or singing in the rain. The fountains go off every 15 minutes in the summer, so you will not have to wait long.

If you do it at the Bellagio, check with the concierge to get an updated list of the songs. DO NOT do it to "Time to Say Goodbye" or "My Heart will Go On". You can call the hotel directly and see what kind and if any they have for helping out a special proposal.
The St. Marks Bridge can be romantic if you do it late at night when there are not as many visitors. If you want it to be a public thing, anytime of day will do. Everything in the Venetian is close to an exact replica. The Gondola ride would be appropriate. Ahead of time make arrangements with the Gondolier's. Speak to a hotel manager about having a specific gondolier and have them sing a special song or make a special arrangement. All are trained in classic opera and speak perfect Italian, so it can be very romantic.
The top of the Eiffel Tower can be crowded, especially if you do it during a fountain show.
One way you can do it, is be watching the fountain show, ask someone to take your picture, because she will be distracted. Then pop the question. That way you will have pictures of the occasion too. You can find someone in the hotel and make arrangements somehow, im sure someone would love to partake in that. Unless you have a speech written or something, try to distract her by doing something like that if she is totally unsuspecting.
Good Luck!!!

The Venitian is a very romantic hotel. I'm not sure the St. Mark's bridge would be my choice, but they have gondala rides that are very romantic.
Here's a link to their website
http://www.venetian.com/shoppe/tours.cfm
There's also the Eiffel Tower at The Paris, in front of the fountains at The Bellagio, a boat ride on Lake Meat, a night at the Ritz Carlton in Lake Las Vegas...for grins, check out their engagement special listed on their website.
Those are just a few good ideas.

Forget that it's full of tourists, but I can recomend Bellagio.
Give them a call at 702-693-7700 they'll set it all up with you, so you can go in a private terrace and propose with the fountains.
Here's a little more info from their brochure. (if you don't want to read it scroll to the bottom for the price)
THE PROPOSAL
TERRAZZA DI SOGNO
Imagine yourself standing on rose petals proposing marriage to your beloved one.
Picture yourself doing so on an Italian balcony overlooking Bellagio Lago Di Como surrounded by a Tuscan landscape, and if this was not enough, consider the spectacular vision of the Bellagio Fountains shooting to the sky at the moment of consent from your beloved.
This incredibly romantic experience may be reserved with the Wedding Chapels at Bellagio The “Proposal” package will include a one half hour of time at the Terrazza Di Sogno
Two Large Bags of White Rose Petals
A Single Long Stemmed Red Rose for Presentation
Two Exquisite European Mouth Blown Hand Designed Crystal Toasting Flutes

Hi. Well, it would be except it is soooooo packed, that instead of popping the question, you would need to shout it. Try taking her on the gondola ride, or maybe take her to red rock canyon (25 min. drive)...Also, check into the fake Eiffel tower at the Paris hotel...it is the most romantic restaurant in Vegas. Hope this helps some, and congratulations!!!

it is absolutely gorgeous! when i was in Vegas, i actually saw a wedding going on there. i would definitely say that's a good place to do it. look up the gondola ride, you may be able to see some pictures of it there. then if you do that, then you could ride the gondola and they have a special white one for things like that! good luck
