Anyone have any good study ideas for a class that absolutely bores you but you must complete as a requirement for your degree ?

Oh please God forgive my type-o in the word pertaining.Also,hey stupid,the question was about s t u d y i n g habits.Not how to go to and or act in class.Learn some reading comprehension.

This is what I have discovered. Read over the material in the book or your notes from class (as soon after the class as possible). Have a small tape recorder next to you and turn it on while you say in your own words the important things to remember to do well in the test. Once you have the tape, listen to it several times especially times that are available as multitask times (ie. while driving the car, walking, jogging, working out. You can even listen when you want to take a nap. Just start listening and go ahead and fall asleep if you want, it can't hurt as long as you listen to your own tape as many times as possible. If the lectures are recordable then you can also make a tape of the instructors lecture. Listen a zillion times and you will have the stuff practically memorized with almost no effort.

Try to take it with a really cool/fun professor. A great professor can make even the most boring class fun (or at least tolerable).
If you're already in the class, try to get a study group with some friends or cool people from the class - being with them will give you a chance to vent what you think about the class, and help make it more bearable.

Learn to spell....
Bring some kind of food or drink to the class to keep you awake.
Move yourself around every now and then.
Find a different degree?

If you're stuck with a crap professor in a class you hate... I'd suggest figuring out a way to teach yourself or find a classmate to study with.
What always helped me was actively trying to be engaged in class.. if i learn it in class then I don't have to suffer over books trying to teach it to myself. Try to figure out what the professor is going to say before he says it... or better... try to stump him/her. it's always fun to challenge yourself.

depending on the class you can put pictures to the lectures in your head or you can also tape the lectures usually and some believe that if you listen to them in your sleep your brain will retain them lol
