How does one reach a position where one can make a difference?

You're already in such a position, because each individual is bound up with everyone else. Every little word and every action changes the whole world, for better or worse.

Personally, I try to treat the people around me in my little corner of the world the way I'd like to be treated. I like to think I'm making a difference with the people closest to me and that they will go out and make a difference with others. And so on.

Evry day we make a difference;fr_chuck is rite. Just do sumthing really nice. If sum1 is new at yur school or work, sit and talk w/ them. Smile, be polite. U can even pick up trash 2 help the environment.

Try joining a group or organiztion. Check out the Peace With Justice movement, there are many groups around the country they are always needing help in organizing & getting the word out.

you go to school to be something, someone in position to make a significant change in someones life....you start your own non profit organization for women or men who are victims of domestic violence..you feed the hungry in America....you lead minorities into owning their own businesses, and get young teenage mothers off welfare...research and you'll find a need that's aching to be met.
