My birthday is coming up in 47 days (July 31st) and its my sweet sixteen and I don`t know what to do. I don`t even know where to begin, after the inviting part. I dont want it to be formal..because thats not me, and i also dont want it to be really huge like hire a DJ and a limo etc. I just need things to do during the party and stuff like that. Its going to be a sleepover too because im not inviting a whole lot of people, just my closest friends. So i need ideas for my party. -Thanks.

I had the same problem a month ago, only difference is taht mines is a sweet 15. I would suggest having it in your backyard like i am doing on the 1st of July, decorate it very pretty with your favorite types of flowers and favorite color decorations. Make it look like if you just stepped into heaven or an exotic island, make it breathtaking. Then if somebody in your family is a really good cook asked them if they don't mind cooking for your party. If that doesn't work, get catering. You don't have to get a DJ or something but at least have music at your party to livin things up. Invite people like your family and friends and have a great time. Your sleep over can be awesome too by decorating your room like the back yard and planning things to spend to spend the whole night awake. Gossip, have make-overs, laugh talk and all sorts of thing. Hope this will help and i hope you have a great time on the 31st!!!! Best wishes from Yanamit!!!Take care cuz i care!!

I'm having one too. But I'm a guy so just minus the sweet. I threw a house-party once last year, I made sure i made 4 or 5 CD Mix-tapes filled with music that will make people dance or party to. The music is CRUCIAL. I put down video-games for people in the living room so they can play. Lucky for me, I have a pool and a ping pong table, pools table and a airhockey table.

I hope your party is succesful. :)

Happy Early Birthday! You could paint nails, go out to eat, watch movies, make scrapbook pages, do each other hair....whatever you do take alot of pics! Have a swimming party at your local pool, see the reservations schedule by looking on your city website. Good luck and I hope this helped some.

rent a place out and get some of your close friend or family to help you plan a party. Or copy one of your favorite sweet 16 parties from the MTV show and do a low budget version of it.

maybe you and your friends could go to a special place in your city. i for example live in washington, and having dinner at seattle's famous landmark, the space needle is something i would do. or before the sleepover, maybe you could all hang out at the beach and swim and play beach volleyball or other sports you'd like.

Find your fav charity and as your friend to help you volunteer for a day in honnor of your birthday. Then they can take you out for a pizza, rent a few videos and talk about how good you all feel for helping out someone who needed you!

Yall should have a Hawaiin type party! dress up in lays and grass skirts... have a hula contest, swim?, and decorate hawaiin. It sounds silly but we did it a couple of weekends ago and it was neat. decorate with tiki lights, coconuts, pinapples, and tons of lays!

Are you near a beach? Rent some horses and go for a trail ride.
Then make s'mores.
