Will todays' journalism be replaced by virtual journalism on the Net by the so-called bloggers? What makes blog a very special feature?

it's possible, but probably not likely.

just like TV news changed the way newspapers report news, in terms of what stories and how they cover things, blogs are changing the way news media reports on certain issues.
also, as print media and broadcast media change to adapt to the changes blogs bring about to the news media landscape, blogs will change too.

personally, I think it's not likely that blogs will replace printed media completely for a long time to come, but it will certainly cause a shift in the way both deliver information.

I don't believe that blogs will ever replace printed media but I have seen some very interested blogs started by news reporters. I believe it is a good way to share information only.

It is possible. Only a possibility.
With the world switching over to electronic data methods, it could be possible that the world reads newspaper on the internet only in a few years. However, I don't think that bloggin is the solution to that. Blogging is only a feature where any one in the world can write up anything they want to. No restrictions what so ever.

I would rather prefer to get my media from trusted sources.

Blogs are free for people to read and they get the news out that the drive-by media does not want you to hear (which is anything positive about what is going on). Anyone who has internet can access a blog and read what is going on so they won't have to pay for a subcription (at least I think they are free).

I think it may. Reason: blogs don't need to be politically correct. They speak the truth in the eyes of those who see it. Many reporters also blog. they say one thing in the report, but they often give the real full story, complete with opinions and nitty-gritty, in their blogs.
