A child between the ages of 11-13 is not ready to have a job. Let alone a summer job. They are just not ready for those responsibilities and experiences. I suggest house chores. Work something out with your parents. I used to do the dishes every day for 4 bucks. I did it 5 out of 7 days. I made 20 bucks by Friday. It was a good deal when your that age. (12).

washing cars on the outside, vacuuming them out, cleaning the glass and wiping down the inside with glass cleaner maybe putting amoour all on the tires.

Hint: Dont charge as much as everybody else and they will bring the cars to you and leave them so you can wash them. You can call them when you are done. If you can get 10 an hour at first you are doing great and you will build a customer base this way.
Then later you charge other folks more and you will have a business that will grow.

I have always thought it would be great to get a job when I was 11-13, but you have your whole life to work. You're only a kid once. Have fun! Although, any kid in that age range is classified as a student. So their job is school.

Conclusion: do well in school, you'll get a good job later. Enjoy life, you will wish you had later in life.

Baby-sitting is a great job if you like to be around young children. Many parents pay good money, especially if you prove yourself to be a good caretaker. Another good job is mowing lawns in the spring/summer. Many people will pay well, especially if they are unable to do it themselves. You can also consider asking your parents for money to do things around the house outside of your normal chores, like painting a fence or shed, or washing the cars.

i agree, house chores, mowing the lawn, taking care of the pets, some babysitting. Before they get into babysitting, you may want to get them into a CPR or First Aid or Babysitting course with the Red Cross. It might make everyone a little more comfortable

Mow grass, babysit, work at a dog kennel, start a dog walking service if you live in the city, be creative, people are willing to pay for everything.
