When you know that guy (gal) would walk over hot coals to get you a Sprite, and when you trust them with your life, know they don't lie, and don't think you have any chance of changing anything about them and you want them to be the father (mother) of your children and trust they'd be the best person for that job.

If you have to ask this, then you're not ready yet.
If you have reservations about accepting, talk to your fiance- be honest (but not mean) about how you feel, and maybe that will either make your answer definite or it will lead you in the right direction. Not talking to him is the worse thing you could do- it's as bad as accepting without being sure.

You can never be completely sure about anything, so my advice is to listen to your brain first, then your heart. Does you intended treat you the way you want to be treated? Is he or she a person you'd be willing to spend your life with? Do you love him or her? If the answer to these questions is "Yes," then you'll have your answer.

If you have to ask, especially strangers, the answer should be no.
If you think you may have a future with them, tell them you are not ready yet, but would continue to get to know them.

If you love the person, you are ready for commitment, and you want to spend the rest of your life with the person.

You just do. If you have to think about it, then it's a terrible idea to say "yes."
