equality and smarter are 2 different topics altogether! Men are not smarter than women - individuals are smarter than others no matter what the gender. Equality is different - men and women should be treated as equals in the workplace generally - same job , same pay etc. but equality in a realtionship will depend on the couple involved. Home duties should be shared accordingly to personal skills, likes and dislikes eg. I like to mow the lawn but my husband doesnot - thats ok 'cause he does other houselhold chores when needed - I like the door opened for me etc. not just old fashioned but good manners - people should want to help fellow 'man' and not only think about themselves all the time and want they want. YES I am a young grandmother of 8 but the world is a better place if we have manners and show caring to all around us sometimes and if you do a good deed for someone - even a stranger you will feel good within for the rest of the day and you will make someone else feel good to.

I do not know where you get your information from about men being the smarter species, but, they may get recognized more often for it. Women are, have been and always will be the more intelligent species. The old saying "behind every good man is a woman telling him what to do" is no accident. We let men think they are the more intelligent ones but really where would they be without us?????

I find this question very offending... also you do NOT have your facts straight anyway. MORE women are in college these days than men. Boys are also doing worse in school than girls. You need to read up on your facts before you sterotype women as being inferior to men!
