Its hard to describe, I guess its just a part of life, we cry when we are happy and sad. Love is just complicated nobody really knows what to do. Maybe it hurts to be happy because you are with someone you love and hope nothing will tear you two apart and in your mind you are wondering if you two will stay together.

It hurts because you care very deeply about another person. Along with loving another person is the unwanted expection of loss. How many times has someone told their lover that they would "die" without them? It hurts when you love someone so much because you care.
