I have just enough money for either (I have to buy my siters ticket so she can us to the anime convention). I would only go to prom to see how its like. One of my friends says that I would miss it if I didn't go. He also says he didn't get enough credits so he can't go to it and he wants me to buy his ticket as a guest.
I would like to go to the anime convention because I will go with my cousins and so far I have had more fun with them than with my friends (although I'm not really into anime that much).

Go to the convention...you don't seem like the "prom" type.

Hmmm... that depends are you a senior or a junior??? because if you are a junior, go to a convention and you can go to a prom next year as a senior.

If you're a senior, or if your school only have senior prom instead of junior/ senior prom. Then, i would suggest prom!!! because prom only happen once in a lifetime, unless off course if you fail high school... lol. i know some people who didn't go to their prom and now they regret it!!!
As for the anime convention... maybe they have it again sometimes in the future and ask your cousin to go later in the future with you...
It would be really good, if your cousins are in the same grade as you are and goes to the same school, because you can ask them to go to prom together instead of anime convention together... Hope that help you a bit, but don't blame me if you don't have a good time at prom...

P.S. If you're going to the prom, go with your friends, you'll have more fun!!! I went to my senior prom last year with a date, and had an awful time at prom. But my junior prom was a blast because i went with friends.

hey...i can understand that ur more comfortable with your cousins than your frenzies. Anyway, you seem to be pressured by your classmates'/friends' opinions. If you're not interested in the prom then why go? You would probably be unhappy, ur frens will probably notice and be uncomfortable and leave you solitary, and you end up having the "NOT night of ur life"
GO WITH YOUR COUSINS!!! lol.... heck u won't have to worry about not having fun. even if you don't enjoy the convention, you'll be with people you appreciate and you'll probably have so much fun you won't remember what you really went for..lol

hope this helps ;-)

There will always be anime conventions - but you won't always be able to go to the prom. You might end up regretting it if you miss out on your prom.

PROM!! it only happens now, and if you miss your oppurtunity, then its gone forever. plus anime is so little kid compared to the prom. your prom is a big deal, what is your deal?? GO TO THE PROM!! Thats a silly thing to even think about. the prom is definately way better.
