Not in the real world, that's for sure. You should just find something you are good at or are interesting in, and pursue that.
If you are just lazy and have no ambition, people wont have any respect for you. You will just fill the stereotype of a lazy american; because let's face it, we already have plenty of lazy people in our country, we don't need any more!
