Absolutely yes!!! In fact you have lots of options. Check around in your area, or do a country wide search if you want to go away. They will be very open about their GPA requirements. You may not be able to get a merit scholarship but you can get accepted.

Some schools take in their quota of students with a GPA of 2.7. But, even if you cannot get into a 4 year college right away, you can attend a 2 year college to start and transfer to a 4 year college.

Yeah, through football
You're unlikely to get into any 4-year college with a 2.7 GPA unless you're incredible at some sport or activity.
You shouldn't have too much trouble with a community college though.

Definitely yes! You might not get into Harvard or MIT but there are a number of good 4 year colleges that would love to have you apply. And don't sell yourself short...is there a reason why your GPA is 2.7 ...for example...did you have to work part-time during your last couple of years of high school to help support your family? 2.7 is a B minus. That isn't great...but it isn't horrible either.

Sure, but probably not one of the best schools. If you have a particular interest, a specific goal in mind, look for a school that is especially good in that department, but not famous or all that big a deal otherwise. You could end up with a better education than if you went to one of the "name" schools.
Another option is to go to a 2-year school, take only courses that are transferable to a 4-year school, and work hard at getting the best grades you can in the 2-year school. Then when you apply for transfer, you'll look great!
Good luck.

You can go to college with that GPA. There are colleges that don't look at things like test scores or GPAs. You simply have to apply. You might have to write an essay, but with colleges like that, the essay doesn't count either. It's more like to see where your head is at. One college that has this type of admission system is Columbia College Chicago. You can also go to community college to bring to GPA up for those more selective schools.

Yes it is! You may not have put alot of importance on schooling in high school, but when you get into college although you will have to work really hard to make it work, all you need to do is put your mind to it. Prove to yourself that you can do it! You don't need to prove anything to anyone else, just yourself. Be single-,minded on your success. Be open-minded about your education. If a certain course isn't working for you re-evaluate the field you are looking into, if neccessary re-invent yourself, discover what you are good at and go for it. Find a program that interests you, you will have to take classes that don't interest you or that you don't understand why you have to take them now, but in the future they will show their value. Get into study groups, go to tutors for what you are having trouble learning and if a certain professor or teacher isn't making it easier for you to learn change that certain course to another time period if you have to. There are educators that do their best to make it as hard as they can so be on the lookout for them and if neccessary avoid them. For the most part educators do want you to learn. When you sign up for college ask for a mentor or a teacher, an educator that will guide you in the best way to go about getting and completing your courses. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't do it, that is not what you need. Look for positive support and don't be afraid to talk to counselors and educators about whatever you are having trouble learning. Always keep faith in yourself. Good luck

Yeah. I'm going to a community college right now and I have a GPA of 2.15. You don't have to go to a community college, but you have to look at what the GPA is for the colleges you wanna go to are.
