Only 5 states carry a death penalty for child molesters who commit an act against a child under the age of 14, and even then, it's when they have committed a second offense. I think they should enforce it on the first offense.

All states need Jessica's Law for first time offenders (25 years minimum) but after hat, it should be much worse.

The death penalty is not a deterrent for people like that. It should be abolished altogether.
I am, frankly, appalled at the fact that justice and legality can be so easily swayed by emotional response. Yes, OF COURSE our first reaction to so dreadful an act is to mortally harm the perpetrator. But that is our reaction to the act. We do not (usually) know the person. Consider, if you will, if it were your own son/daughter/father/ mother/brother/sister/husband/wife who had committed a crime like this, would you kill them yourself or allow them to be killed, knowing that murder itself is a serious crime?
I hope you see what I am trying to show: that justice and emotions should NEVER be mixed. Also that a person can be loved while his actions are hated - which inevitably means that if you know only a person's actions, you have no right to judge him or to destroy his person. Only God can do that - and, as you may have heard, God loves every single one of us, who are all sinners to a greater or lesser extent. He loves US ... but NOT the sin!

Yes. That just wrong and they should be ****** in a prison then the death penalty. I don't want my tax dollars going to them.

yes i do children,old people and aninmals cannot defend for their selves. i believe in the death penalty!!!!!! when they go to prison.... they will get got......if you know what i mean.
