The sun is a 9 foot wide ball.
Mercury is a pea 500 yards distant.
Venus is a one inch wide ball 1000 yards away.
Earth is also a one inch ball at 1500 yards.
Mars is a marble 2000 yards distant.
Jupiter is a ten inch ball 1 mile away.
Saturn, a ten inch ball, 1 1/2 miles away.
Uranus, an eight inch ball, 2 1/2 miles away.
Neptune, eight inch ball, 3 1/2 miles.
Pluto, a pea at 5 miles from the Sun.

These distances are extraordinary but true!

Astronomical Unit...abbreviation Au or AU.
It is the distance of approximately 93 million miles between the Sun and Earth. Pluto is approximately 39.5 AU from the Sun on average.
