Well, just in the past two days I've reduced a 220volt outlet to 2- 110's and installed 2 window air conditioners without burning my house down or blowing up anything, nor a trip to the hospital was needed.
TOOLS and PARTS NEEDED:
Philips Screwdriver
Flat head Screwdriver
Wire stripper
Needle nose pliers
Drill
Electrical Tape
Wire Nuts
Hammer
New receptical box
New 20amp circuits to replace 30 amp circuits
New 20amp recepticals w/ faceplate
Not to boast, but I have tools (manual and power) that would make "Tim the Tool Man" drool.
Plus, I'm single!! Bite that...
If tools were stupid, I would be sweating my butt off right now instead of enjoying my new window air conditioners.

I don't. I even have my own tool kit and know how to use it. And change a tire.
I was just in Sears the other day and bought 2 heavy duty clamps for an art project i'm working on. And I own and use a Dremel as well.
I think I have more tools than my dad.
Those 2 girls are just idiots. They probably use tools every day and don't realize it....silverware and etc.

No way dude! I love building and drilling holes in the wall. Tools rock. My friend from college just picked up a drill for the first time and built a playground set for her kids. She said she felt empowered.
Power tools are empowering--go figure. Tim Allen was a genius.
Ararararrr.
That girl in the hardware section has obviously been gender conditioned. She's expecting some dude is going to change it for her. So in her case the lip stick will change the tire.

I think this is a really generalized topic. Girls conform to what society tells them, and it does take a lot of challenge those roles. Unfortunately, some of that means that girls aren't supposed to like using tools, or know how to do it. It masculinizes them. That's the brother/father/boyfriend/husband's job. Women belong in the kitchen.
But some of the social roles are starting to change. Women are becoming more and more independent. Sooner or later, it'll be cool for a girl to know how to change a flat tire, or build a book case. And to those women who challenge the social norms and do things that aren't exactly seen in the best light--More power to you! I applaud you!

A lot of girls think having every single tool you don't need is stupid but having things that you need like a screw driver and hammer and tire iron not so much stupid.

Heck No!!! I would still be on the side of the road if it wasn't for tools. Plus I am restoring a 1965 Mastang at the moment.

Don't worry about it.
I LOVE tools. Lots of tools.
Some times (a lot of times?) girls are just stupid.
