its a url(site) that you can store your photos on, upload directly from your computer so that you can link those photos to places like myspace or your own web page. its nice to have because a basic account is free, and you can upgrade too if you want. . . and some sites have their own code generator just for that, so you can just paste it into your pages, or like kodak you can order all kinds of kewl stuff like mini art books for a portfolio if you are a photographer, all sorts of stuff.

URL is way of saying a web address, so a photo url would be the exact site the photo is located at so if you type it into the web address bar it will pull up the picture alone.

to find a photo URL if you have it on the internet, such as myspace or other sites like that go to your pictures on your profile, right click the picture, and then go to properties... that should give you the URL of the photo but it will only work as long as you have the photo on that website
