1) The Ones Who Pass The Waiter Test. When a man takes a woman to dinner, we watch very carefully to see how you're going to treat the waiter. Because, in six months, that's how you're going to be treating us.

2) The Ones Who Don't Try To Change Us. You know, the impulse to "improve" a man once you're in a relationship. We're not that dumb, you know. And you can change a man's clothes, but you can't change who he is. And, quite frankly, how would it make you feel it we tried to "improve" you?

3) The Ones Who Don't Belittle Our Interests. Women have chick flicks. We have sports. If you expect to drag us to some Meg Ryan movie, then expect us to take you to some football watching party. And don't complain.

4) The Ones Who Try To Like Our Friends. They're our buddies. Some may be coarse. Some may be losers to you. But then again, some of your friends aren't exactly winners either. And a good guy will try to like them for your sake.

5) The Ones Who Don't View Us As Their Personal ATM After Marriage. If you're a guy, you kind of get tired of being sized up based on your earning potential. Seriously, I have been asked my salary on the first date before. And when I gave a satisfactory answer, her eyes brightened and she was ready to give me a roll in the hay.

6) The Ones Who Aren't Neurotic. "What does that mean?" "Will they like me?" "Why didn't you call me today?" "Your friend looked at me funny over dinner, does that mean he doesn't like me?" Believe me, it's no picnic dating a woman who keeps throwing balls like that up in the air expecting you to catch them. It is wearying, actually.

In short, be self-confident, and be as much into a guy as he is into you. Take him for who he is and respect him for it. View the world as an adventure, and all people worthwhile of your attention. Do all those things, and the men of the world will be at your door with flowers, candies, and their undying respect and desire.

Hey, everyone has different takes on the type they want. Personally I feel a man either never knows the one to spend life with or come to know withing first 60 seconds of meeting the girl. As far as respecting women is concerned, I think there's this universal rule about respect: To get respect you need to give respect. So I think everyone would respect the woman, who respects her man. Its reciprocal. She goes out that extra mile to understand the deficiencies & learns to live with them.
