Somethings wrong for you. By law, every spring (Feb-March-April) the Social Security agency mails a summary report to every taxpayer in the USA. You should have received one every year for the past many years.
If your employer has been withholding taxes (and paying them) etc., and you have been filing taxes every year, there is no reason you shouldn't have received the annual letter. It has a summary of every year on how much you earned, and the amounts you have paid into social security from the first job you had.
Either visit their site (I think its socialsecurity.gov), contact your local social security office. Very important. You also should visit your closest SS office three months prior to your retirement date.
Hope this helps !

It all depends how much you save each month and where you invest your money. There are a lot of websites that provide you with all sorts of financial calculators (e.g., how much money you will have by certain age by putting aside a certain amount at a certain interest rate). bankrate.com is one of those sites (http://www.bankrate.com/brm/cgi-bin/savings.asp). Better yet, go to the yahoo! finance retirement calculator (http://partners.leadfusion.com/tools/yahoo_planning/retire02h/tool.fcs) and enter all your data for your income after retirement. Hope it will help. Best regards.

You should receive a statement each year from the SS administration detailing that for you. Otherwise, call the SS office and they can tell you.

You should get a mailing atleast once a year from the social security admin. that lays all that out for you. I believe you can visit their website for more information.

As far as your retirement goes, you would have to check with your company.

Contact the social security administration. They should be mailing you a statement each year, AND they should be able to help you figure this out.
