When i scroll up or down pages it is now moving quite slow and sort of in waves?-is this a setting problem,and can i rectify it?

depending on how you are trying to scroll on the page:
1. dragin the bar on the right side up or down
2. clicking the arrows
3. using the click function on the mouse and moving the mouse to scroll on the page.
If it is one of the first two methods that you are using then it is most likely you have to many programs or what not running (or something is taking up alot of your RAM). Try not running so many things at once or adding more ram to your computer (never a bad thing).
If it is method 3 that you use then take the ball out of your mouse and clean the contacts. If its an LED mouse it could have a short in it and need to be replaced.

Are you referring to the moue wheel?
There are settings in your control panel that affect how pages respond to the wheel going up or down. Look there first.

it could be your mouse-take the ball out of the bottom of it and clean it with a dry lint-free cloth, then put it back in & see if it helps-it helped mine when I had that problem

your mouse is to dirty. Get a new one or clean it.
