Because they want the exclusive.
Personally, I say have patience and the baby's face will be in all the tabloids and magazines within a week.
I agree about the starvation, etc. It doesn't seem logical to sell a photo when it would be so much easier to just give the money to the charity of their choice.

yes because for example there only one going around right now and so if a magizine gets it and puts it on the front cover and the will make more than a million the make 20 times that. thats why people would pay for the picture to make money.

"PEOPLE" was willing to pay millions, because they will make more millions selling their mag rag. The mag agreed to donate a certain % to some of the above mentioned causes.
