I think you would look good in dress pants, short sleeve shirt, loafers or ankle boots. A nice medium hair cut meaning not too short but layered as men do. Parted on the side and lays across the forehead to the other side. No mustache or beard, some of us women have sensitive skin. I feel a mild splash of cologne would be appropriate. Oh have your socks match the color of your pants also. No dirty shoes, pants, shirt, or teeth. Now you are ready. hee hee pick me up at 6:00?

I would find a man in his early 50s attractive if he were fit, had a well-groomed goatee or mustache, well-manicured nails (that's a big pet peeve of mine), and NO COMB-OVER (really...bald heads are gorgeous...if you are thin on top keep your hair short up there). Attractive clothing would be well-fitted slacks and loosely worn button shirts with no undershirt, fashion from THIS season...no old clothes. And a healthy tan is always attractive.
You didn't ask, but if you wear glasses, make sure the style is up-to-date, too.

If you're unsure about your fashion, go to the men's' department of a better department store and find a male clerk....he'll point you in the right direction.

Hope that answers your question.

I am younger however I can factor out what's a massive trouble with more youthful females. It's no longer lack of confidence considering that any feminine at any age can suppose that. I suppose with more youthful females it's approximately the appears of the person and if he's amusing. They also are wrapped across the concept of a "best" guy in the market. There isn't any such factor as best guys. When whatever is going mistaken in a tender marriage, whatever no longer massive just a war of words or a combat, they are saying "eff it." I'm younger, I have approximately stated eff it considering that of a controversy. Then after considering it by way of after calming down, it is dumb to go away my husband for whatever so dull considering that he isn't best. Reality is, no person is best. I suppose I have the excellent guy in the market for me. I would not say each and every younger girl is immature. There are a few immature older females in the market as good. Depends at the character. Just my opinion as a more youthful girl.

Clean, neat, clothes that fit. Real shirts instead of tee-shirts with things printed on them. Nothing nicer than jeans that fit you well. If you wear cologne or aftershave, KEEP IT LIGHT. No sneakers, unless the occasion calls for them. Good shoes on a man matter. Nothing too extreme, nothing too dated. If you are confident and comfortable in your clothes and in your own skin, and feel like you look good, you will look good, so be yourself. (I'm 39. Is that mature? Who knows. Hope this helps.)

Just dress for the occasion or the situation and remember casual does not mean swim trunks, jogging pants, or flip flops. I think: short groomed hair, clean shaved or mustache, and always carry gum or breath mints.

When it comes to clothes, try to stay with earth tones, no bright oranges or pinks, calm hairstyle, get some gel and spike a little, but not to much.

To me, apearance doesn't matter as long as he doesn't look like a walking-talking disaster. Personality is what I go for. Sorry if I wasn't any help...
