erstad is back in the lineup and colon is in the middle of his rehab starts.... are the angels fixing to make a big run now that everyone is getting healthy? i know jeff weaver isnt helping at all will he leave the rotation once colon is back?

I'm not so sure about a big run. They've still got a lot of glaring holes, particularly at first base. Erstad may not be the player he once was, but he does bring a spark and a balls-to-the-wall mentality that is sorely lacking in the team right now. Colon, when healthy, has amazing stuff and can be the anchor the rotation needs.

Moving Jeff Weaver to the bullpen would probably be the best move the Angels can do right now. It's not that he's not a good pitcher, but he seems to be suffering from a lack of confidence in his ability. Maybe a little time in the pen would help him regain it.

The Angels do look like they can rise in the division though.

angels dont need erstad they got to much young and thats good keep erstad outm he hasnt done anything for them sice 02 and i also think colon lackey santana jar weaver and escobar should be the rotation when colon is back lackey and santana are on fire right now

Erstad is not very good. He should stay disabled for the rest of his career.

Angels still could make the playoffs but I expect the A's to win the AL West.

erstad wont make a difference and colon scares me when he pitches! Keep Jeff!

yeah jeff weaver will probally be replaced by bartolo
