Something unique and personal like a scrapbook of photos showing fun times you've shared. Tickets to an event like a comedy show. You can name a star for them. Adopt a starving child in their name. Get 'em a kite and spend the afternoon trying to get a good photo of it in the air. Plant a tree for them. There are tons of original ideas once you get the gears rolling. Your gift is on it's way ;-) It's a book on juggling. Have fun!

Give them something that means something important to you. Not some material thing that you yourself would want to posses and use, but something that has a deeper social or personal value. Write something on a card attached to the gift. Provide an incomplete explanation of the gifts purpose.

A gift certificate. See, even the person who has everything wants more, and things wear out, and need replacing.

Hardware, like computers, become outdated.

Chattels wear, and go out of style, etc.

Food, like ice cream, gets consumed, and then the person who had everything is missing some ice cream. My gift certificate can be used to buy more, so that they will have everything again.

Instead of getting them a *thing*, how about an experience? A massage, a manicure, scuba diving lessons, a ride in a hot air balloon, a picnic in the park, concert tickets, etc.
