how do you justify the taking of a life..even your own..BUT lately, ive come to understand why someone would do it...
utter desperation..no place to go..no one to talk to..despair,embarassment..getting to that point and feeling that theres no other choice..justified..hard to say that..but understandable..for some people..yes..

I believe that suicide is justified in 2 scenarios:
Scenario 1:
You are a prisoner of war, or a captured spy. You KNOW that you will get tortured soon and will divulge important secrets. You know that if the enemy finds out your secrets -- thousands of your comrades will die. Suicide is the most Honorable solution.
Scenario 2:
1. You are terminally ill
2. You KNOW that you have no chance to survive for very long
3. You are in EXCRUCIATING pain
4. Your illness cost your relatives a LOT of money and makes their lives miserable
In this case Suicide is just speeding up the inevitable -- it helps you escape your pain and let's your relatives move on.

Suicide is never justified, but that is not to say that we can't understand why people commit suicide, nor should we judge them for it.
