Tranqualized- There is a reason I asked this question. That is the Rep's talking point.. Just think that if their going to use that as a talking point or vote on that issue they should actually know what their plan is.

jmeege,
It is easy to ask and wait for an answer that no one here has. It would be the same if we elected a Democratic president in '08 and asked you the same question.
Want to know why? It's called strategic.
You don't publish what your plan is step-by-step. That would be like playing Chess and telling your opponent what your next 5 moves are going to be (after every move!). A Democratic president wouldn't have much to say either, nor would the entire Democratic party. It would be the same strategy - don't publish it.
Now they might set a deadline, and that would be unfortunate. Could you imagine if during the Battle of the Buldge in WWII, we had reporters on the battlefield reporting the high number of casualties, causing immediate alarm here in the U.S. ? What if, as a result, Congress ended the declaration of war and pulled our troops out? You could not even begin to fathom the significance that mistake would have cost us. It's possible the war might not have ever turned in the Allies' favor.
Those that don't understand war strategy, are usually the ones with very little knowledge of history. It is wrong to assume that a WAR should be over within a specific amount of time. It is also wrong to take a premature position and say that this war is meaningless. Even in our lifetime, it is likely that we will never truly know how significant the impact of winning this war will have.
Furthermore, it is foolish to assume you are in a better position by asking a question you don't have a solution to.

The War on terror will never be won because terrorism is just a classification of actions taken against a govt. or ruling party. A terrorist to some is a freedom fighter to another. Now I ask you this, What is the liberal plan to win the war should they regain control.

Bring back the draft and make liberals go the the front line.
Wait until the terrorist find out our secret weapon is the fact that now THEY have to put up with all the incessant pissing and moaning 24 hours a day - talk about mass suicides.

Wait until you have some brief semblance of order, say you've "rounded the corner" (again), declare victory (again), beat a hasty withdrawal (as the GOP did in Viet Nam), leving your collaborators to a certain, slow death. Suffer two decades of defeats at the polls (at least there's some justice in the world). Declare it's "morning in America" (again) and take back the Presidency from a gullible America....

I am republican and ex Military. Honestly. I think the president can go **** himself, the only reason the military loves republican presidents is because they raise our pay buy a large amount. You are paying us with your taxes. Think about that.( I am adding on) To answer your question, the "republican's" plan to pay the military more and more of everone else's taxes to the military. That is to bribe us in hopes we go and fight "to the end," give us an incentive. An incentive to kill and be killed. Kill all I say, kill all!!!!

They have a plan?
But seriously, i don't think there is one besides stay til the job is done. Afterall, new studies show that the iraqi invasion has helped al Qaeda recruit more terrorists than it killed.

Didn't you just answer the question?
Staying in Iraq until the Iraqi's can efficiently fight the insurgancy. The plan is to fight the enemy outside of the U.S.
Now, what is the democrats plan?

Well, the war on terror will be over when we attack Iran because that's where the real terrorists are. Or is it Korea? No, it's Venezuela. Or is it New Orleans? I get so confused!

I think that's one of the major problems... a group called Al-Quada attacked us... not every terrorist group... maybe we should declare war on who attacked us, a war on al-quada.
instead of a vague war that any number of actions can be taken in, that will in no way actually do anything to deal with those that actually did attack us...
