My advice to you is to go to the drugstore and get nail hardener.Nail hardener makes your nails hard so that it is impossible for you to bite them. Also I understand how you want your nails to grow I would bite my nails to the nub but I haven't bitten them for a while now and it feels good.
Best Wishes

I used to do that too. Until I got in a car wreck and busted some nerves or something in my teeth. It hurt so bad to bite. And I quit. Now I have long long nails. As long as average fake ones. Only mine are real. Put some nail polish remover on your fingertips every morning and every time you wash your wands. The disgusting taste will deter you from biting. I don't know of any other ways.

I know what your going through! I tried so many things! You can get certain polishes like Sally Hansen Nail Growth Miracle and see if that works. It strengthens the nail while also allowing it to grow faster. I have resorted to putting fake tips on my nails to keep from biting them but thats a more costly alternative! I try the various Sally Hansen nail growth products first.

What you could do is get fake nails for a while maybe a month or two and it will teach you not to bite them so when you get them off you are used to having the fake ones so you wont bite them.

#1 Drink green tea daily. I like to use one teabag of green to one of chamomile...it's delicious. It will help them grow tougher.
#2 Eat a high protein diet (meat, beans, eggs, nuts)
#3 Keep your fingertips dipped in lemon juice. Works great...or buy that stuff for thumb suckers.
Good luck!

I am the same way, but I find if I keep them painted I won't bite them. Try that....or....have a friend slap the crap out of you everytime you bite them off.

They have stuff you can buy to rub on your nails. Then it tastes bitter everytime you put them in your mouth. It worked for a family member of mine. I believe they got it at a beauty supply store, maybe Sallys.

They have this stuff called "No Bite". My friend is a horrible nail biter and she uses it and it works!!! I'm sure you can find it on the internet somewhere.
