im 13 and i used to figure for a couple years when i was about 3. im starting up again this summer, do you think i could make it to the olympics or trials in 4 or 8 years?or least get pretty far?

if you really feel like it's someting you want to dedicate your life to for 4 or 8 years, then you should go for it!

I was a figure skater for 16 years. I competed for probably 11 of those years and now I am a technical specialist. Let me tell you something. It's not talent that takes you places in this sport. It's determination and dedication. So if you are willing to work hard and committ yourself, anything is possible. I wish you all the best.

maybe if you practice like my friend An hour before school 3 hours after school after that an hour of private lessons every school day Saturday 3 hours strait Sundays nothing and 4 hours a day private lessons during the week every summer weekends of the summer no lessons and Saturdays during the summer 2 hours of free skate its a lot but i bet you my friend Delainey will make it to the Olympics i take lessons to but not that much a couple times a week

Skate for fun. If you happen to train like crazy and make it to the olympics, great.

Keep in mind that it's a very expensive sports - hope your parents can afford it!
