They can't afford birth control...where ya been? They can't even afford food, how can they get a luxury like medication?

Also, they live in a world where they don't have the opportunity to (a) live on their own without a man to support them, or (b) tell their man that they're not going to consummate their marriage.

You can't seriously believe that watching their own children starve to death is something they choose.

Yeah, that would have something to do with a)lack of birth control b) the various African cultures that hold that women CANNOT refuse their husbands c)the natural tendency to reproduce.

Not every child in Africa starves to death. Birth control is not readily available in many many areas of the world.

FYI, it's not always there fault!! A lot of men in Africa refuse to use condoms because it somehow decreases the bravado and manliness of getting laid, and women don't have a say! If they refuse a lot of times they get raped or excommunicated from there tribe. So, no it's not always the woman's fault because a lot of time they have no choice it's either "bear my child" or "get out of the tribe". And it's not only Africa, it's Russia, China, and third world countries where women are still treated like crap.

A lot of people living in small villages suffer from the disadvantage of not getting educated. They never get exposed to the idea of contraception, or it might be part of their religion to procreate. This is also the reason why AIDS is so hard to eradicate. Too many people don't get the proper sex education to stop the problem.

Contraceptives? Most African families don't have access to such a thing, or even know about them. When you are forced to marry whomever your father tells you to, and then raped by your "husband" it's not exactly an educated country. If you can't read or write 9 times out of 10 you aren't going to know what a condom is or what the "pill" is; considering most American teens are doing the same thing. (And lots of them do it by choice not by force!)

Because they like sex, don't have access to birth control, or food.

Besides that, it is not just the women having children. I am pretty sure that there are men involved in this scenario to some extent.

Maybe they are just ignorant, or maybe....just maybe, humping is the only pleasure they have, since eating seems to be beyond their means.

It's not that simple. Women in Africa are being RAPED everyday. Why do you think AIDS is an epidemic there ? It's really terrible. I suggest you read up about the plight of african women. It will change your view completely.

1.) The women are victims of centuries of being devalued. They are little more than property.

2.) They have no education.

3.) If they can't afford food how are they going to afford contraception?

Many people in third world countries don't have good sex education, nor do they have contraceptives. Anyway, children could help around on farms or what have you.
