Try a fresh lemon cut in half. Use the juicy side and rub over the tan spots.

A self tanner will likely not come off with washing...it has literally altered the colour of the pigmentation within your skin so surface cleaning will not remove it.

The lemon juice idea may work, but you'll be sticky after it dries.

You can either let it fade out on it's own, go to a tanning salon and try to even it all out or get a better self tanning product to fill in the colour.

Nailpolish remover works. Just make sure that you have no open sores (which you shouldn't have if you're using self-tanner anyway). Try the unscented kind so that you don't end up smelling like a nail salon.

Since self tanners have dyes added to them the best way is to just allow it to fade naturally .

baby oil breaks up the chemicals in the self tanner. just apply with a cotton ball and then rinse off the oil. it may take quite a bit, but it works fairly well. exfoliate afterwards.

I would try a exfoliating scrub. Anything that is grainy, like a sugar scrub or a cleanser with beads in it. If you don't have any of those, just regular soap with a loofah or netted sponge.

Scrub it with a loofah and get some body scrub.
