I recently found myself very happy with my situation. after "getting over" a first love and being caught up in a whirlwind of guys, who turned out to be all wrong for me, i graduated 8th grade with flying colors and found out that a sweet, dorky, and somewhat annoying boy likes me. i was very happy in the beginning of my summer, reading books, watching movies, and listening to music, taking comfort in the fact that i was over the rockers who did dodgy stuff and loved by sumone dependable. today i went to the library, hoping to run into my first love, but came home quickly, and as soon as my mom came home (she works there), she told me something he said. ARGH!! he had been there quite soon after i left! i dont usually get much chance to hang out there. now i feel a mess. i dont understand why i even went to see him in the first place.

Whats wrong with me?

Any suggestions as to how i can help out my mental state, any affirmations or whatever?

Any input is greatly appreciated!!!!

You won't listen to this because you are young- but he is the 1st love, not the last. Forget the boys(I know that's hard to do). Concentrate on developing yourself to be a powerful, intelligent, and successful young lady. Trust me love is worth waiting for and it only becomes love after friendship and maturiy. You are 14/15...love will come when its right-he's hot, he'severything that keeps your mind away from yourself...love yourself for now and tell those boys who are waiting in line for you to hold on-you have you to think about at the moment. I hope that helps

it'll be okay, you're young yet and there will be many loves to come (i promise). i'm 32, i know... old right?
but, i've lived alot longer and i have the experience to tell you that this too will pass. nothing is the end of the world except maybe the end of the world. buck up sweetie... you're gonna be fine

heartache is a part of living and growing. you mourn the passing of pets, relationships, and people... that never changes...
just try to take some time for yourself in between guys or you may wind up looking trashy in the long run

nothing is worng with you but their is something worng with him because you seem like a pretty and decent girl and i know your probably wondering why he said what he said when you walked into the library but you know what he just lost something really spectacular and once you find that real special someone he will really see what he has been missing
