because despite the flaws in the american justice system it does work more often than not and if you can't convince a jury then you don't get a guilty verdict and you can't convince a jury if the evidence don't add up, jurists are not idiots and isn't it about time people let this issue go to bed, innocent people are jailed everyday and guilty ones go free and all for lack of convincing evidence or a preponderence of the evidence makes one seem guilty and no one bothered to look for anyone else that could have possibly been the culprit, not a perfect system, but way better than any other country in the world, at least here we are innocent until proven guility, unless you are rich and famous and get tried in the press first then you don't stand a chance in hell of a fair trial it is going to be biased no matter how you shake it

For one when a leather glove gets wet it SHRINKS.. duh
well that cop took the 5th when they said he planted evidence. so that right there let him off . If they would of had a dam 1/2 decent team at the crime scene they would of got enough evidence to convict somebody rather it be OJ or someone else. the fact of the matter is that dam cop screwed the whole crime scene up. So to this day no one has been convicted it's a dam shame all because them cops had to try and frame someone

The evidence in this case was really messed up. I don't want to make it sound like the evidence was tampered with, but none of it made sense. Though everything ultimately looked as if OJ did the deed, there were enough flaws for his defense attorney (who was extremely good at his job) to stress upon.

He spent his fortune on the three highest paid lawyers in the USA. He was found innocent by a jury of his peers.
HOWEVER-he lost in civil court, to her family. I think the judgement was about $33,000,000. He still owes it.

The gloves didn't fit. If it didn't fit you must acquit.
Also, one of the investigating officers took the fifth to these two questions:
Have you ever planted evidence?
Have you planted evidence in THIS case?

A good (very good) and expensive lawyer. Remember: jails are filled with poor, not necessarily guilty people.
