Ronaldinho was awsome, as always, but i was disapointed by the living legend Ronaldo. I'm really pulling for him to get that one goal and own the record, but he didnt play relatively well at all. I was also expecting a little more from Roberto Carlos, but overall he did pretty well.

Give Croatia some credit. Teams from central Europe have proven they can play - just ask the US. Brazil at times looked a little rusty but they still won. In my mind they are still the favorites. Brazil & Australia should be interesting to watch...

It was not what I was expecting BUT this year everyone is well prepared and they all want the cup. Croatia had a great defense and had quite a few good opportunities to score. this year I would like to see someone else win, but if Brazil is the last Latin American team standing from this side of the hemisphere, then more power to them.

Brazil usually does OK on the first round, they don't want to go too crazy, once second round starts let see if it's the same Brazil

they played ok, but Croatia was better in attacking. Croatia managed to go the penalty box of Brazil a number of times, but Croatia is not good at close range. Brazil should have played better.

I was suprised that Ronaldo lagged behind, otherwise the rest of the players did a good job, blocking, setting up, stealing, and kicking. They had some close goals, but that's football. There performance was satisfactory, and the Croatians were worthy opponents.

The real question is was this the Croatia we were all expecting ? I think not...Congratulate Croatia for very good game and if N.Kovac played all 90 min i doubt Kaka would score

Yes and no.

First, the first group game is always tricky especially when you matchup against an underrated solid European team.

Second, Ronaldo was not doing anything, and untill Robinho entered the game, Brasil's offense was Kaka+Ronhaldino, the two attackers were asleep.
