Start with a shark. That'll take care of those kids right away.
Seriously, I think you should go to a store that sells pool supplies. They can tell you what you need and advise you on how much of the chemicals you need to put in based on the size (in gallons) of your pool.

The place that sold you the pool should have told you what you needed as far as the chemicals go. You need chlorine and chlorine tablets, maybe a clarifier, you may need to get shock N swim and a testing kit to test the water and see that you are at the right PH level. I would go to where you purchased the pool and find out exactly what you need for your pool size.

It will pay to get the local pool man out to give you advice, some stores also offer pool water testing and advice ring around the local area. If your pool is chlorine then obviously chlorine and stabilizers but if its salt just salt its the quantities you need to know about.

2 a sales clerk they might be new 2 the job and only tell you what the

The best thing is to get a pool vaccum. Some pool toys for your kids and an area to put the water cleaner and the controls for your pool like the light swich.

Take a water sample with you to the pool store. Ask them for a good test kit and to show you how to use it. They will get you fixed up in no time. Your test kit is your best friend!
