the SNES is the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. There were a couple of versions of the the system the first one was one where you put the game down and there was a button to push that 'popped' the cartridge out. the second one the SNES Jr. was smaller and was put out around the time the N64 was released. It's done the same way except instead of the button, you pulled the game out. The games work the same.

The japanese model, the Super Famicom, (SFC/ Super Family Computer) I don't know what the system looks like, however the games I know are slightly different. On the back of American games, you will notice two notches (where the SNES holds the game down) on the SFC disks, there are no notches. You need an adaptor to play SFC games on the SNES, because without those notches, the games won't go down into the system. Just Japan's way of getting us to buy more equipment.

Hope this answers some questions.

Yes. the SNES is the same as a Super Nintendo. SNES stands for Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The reason you've been seeing different styles is because the SNES is an old system (90's) so Nintendo re-released it with a new style, however the games are compatable with both versions.

SNES stands for Super Nintendo Entertainment System, different versions of the gaming console have been released, but they are all the same and play all the same games. Hope this has helped you in some way :-)

SNES and Super Nintendo are the same thing. The pictures you might be refering to could be the Japanese version (Super Famicom). It's only helpful if you know fluent Japanese though. lol! There is also a remodeled SNES that was released shortly before the N64. It has the same capabilities and plays the same games only it is smaller, much like the PS1 vs. the Playstation.

To my knowledge, SNES is an abbreviation for Super Nintendo Entertainment System. I believe they're the same thing - without knowing what pictures you're referencing, it's hard to say for sure.
