if you pick values at random from a normal distribution what is the probability that all 4 values will be more than one standard deviation from the mean??

"Normal distribution" implies that 95% of all rv's will fall within 1.96 (or 2) S.D.'s away from the mean and that 67.5% will fall within 1 S.D. from the mean.
