I'm a die hard old school comedian fan of Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor. Old School people definitely remember the stand ups the movies of these two comedians! Anyway who do you think was the funnier of the two? Richard Pryor is my favorite all time though. I like Eddie Murphy secondly.

Richard Pryor laid the tracks for the likes of Murphy and today's comedians! I love Pryor and Murphy! Wish Murphy would come back and keep us laughing!

I think that Richard Pryor is the better of the two. Richard Pryor used a lot of his personal experiences-no matter how painful - to bring the world laughter.

The late, great Richard Pryor. Not to take anything away from Eddie,(...who I agree, was funny, but lost his head, and EGO up his own rear end...), Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, or any of the others, but if not for Mr. Pryor, there would not have been any of the others.

That's simple....it was Richard Pryor, since he started when Eddie was a young boy. Eddie grew up idolizing Richard Pryor and wanted to be just like him. Now, as far as who was the funniest....each comedian in his own way was known to be funny...a few people thought it was funny when Richard set himself on fire and of course a few more people thought it was funny when Eddie was arrested for soliciting a transvestite...so you see.........it's all in a matter of which do you think is more funny. I enjoyed both of them.

Richard Pryor, even Eddie wouldn't be as funny as he is without the groundwork done by Pryor.
