the most often is "eh?" (pronounced "A") it is a common word in Canada, because we use it to invoke a conversation.
Eg: It is a great day eh? or that movie was really good eh?
so that the other person will give you a response.

It's my opinion after listening to people on the phone all day long, including myself, that the number one word we say the most often (as Americans) is "ok" and the second runner up is probably "uh." When I used to be a missionary, I think the name I used to say most often was "Jesucristo," or "Jesus Christ" in Spanish.
