A fetus is alive since the minute it is conceived. There for for it is a life at an early stage. It is not a woman's choice to kill but it is a woman's choice to give that child to a couple who does not have to blessing of conceiving there on child. It is not the fetus(childs)fault so he/she should not pay for this. Now is certain situations where the mother was abused there are many other options for that baby. Every baby has the right to live and no one but God can make that choice.

Pro Choice. It does not mean pro abortion. Women will make the choice to have abortions, legal or not. Women make the choice to have babies everyday, as well. I think a better question is: why are these unwanted pregnancies occurring in the first place? Instead of trying to solve the problem at the finish line (making abortion illegal), why not try to find out why women (and girls!) get themselves into these situations. Poor sex education? Birth control too expensive and not available enough?
Perhaps it's selfishness- people putting their own lives WAY ahead of the lives of others. I am sure that if you take a look at our society, you can see ego-centrism, selfishness, and power-hunger domination. Our society needs compassion. Killing is a dispassionate act. It is a selfish act. It does not matter if I think it's murder or if I believe a fetus is alive. Making abortion illegal will not stop it. I'm sorry- but teaching our society to stop looking down it's nose(job) and start being considerate of others may make us consider the lives of EVERYONE. Including unborn babies.

First of I couldn't personally have an abortion but I do feel it is someones own choice to make and they should not be chastized for it. You have no idea what I've seen working in the community. Try volunteering in the community and see how the impovrished live and think about adding another child into that statistic. As far as I'm concerned people shouldn't have kids if they can't afford to care for them..that's that. People should not be deemed killers for making possibly the most respeonsible choice regarding this matter. Why don't you do something to help the community rather than trying to find a way to spew hate....

Your question shows how biased you are. Of course a fetus is alive -- any cell is alive, so why wouldn't a fetus be? But it is not a human being, it is a blob of cells. Do you consider yourself to be a murderer when you scrape your elbow? That kills some cells. What about when you pull out a hair? That kills cells too. What about when you eat meat? That kills living beings. A fetus is not an independently living being, it is a blob of cells.

I believe that no one should be forced into parenthood and that a woman bears the burden of pregnacy and should have the right to control what happens to and in her body. And most abortions are performed in the first trimester or early in the second trimester (rarely after 4 months), those fetus can not survive on their own, so without the woman's body, they are not living.

Last stage abortions should only be performed in the case of endangerment of the mother's life.

...i normally would get worked up by this kind of question, but I'm too tired.

I see where you are coming from, but one of my friends was raped at the innocent age of 14.

...She became pregnant and began an emotional battle trying to decide what to do - A pro-lifer herself because she couldn't understand how any woman could kill a tiny human life... especially a tiny bit of themselves; but she knew this child would be a constant reminder of that monsters violation...

In the end, she did keep it. and you know what? I was proud of her, I couldn't have done the same thing at that age and firmly believe that if she had chosen to remove his seed from herself - it would have been him that was the murderer, not her.

Yes, some women do it out of pure convenience and I actually think that is wrong... but you can not place all of the blame on women. The men need to take responsibility to where they put their baby making machines. ESPECIALLY those that force it on others,

Well, i think the choice part should come from choosing to have sex and risk getting pregnant, but I still believe that abortion is wrong no matter what. i know alot of people bring up the rape issue, but it is still a child that has not done anything wrong, it deserves a chance at life just as the rest of us were given.

I don't think its killing in the first couple of months, more like birth control after the fact.
I also believe that the mother should not have exclusive rights and the father should have the right to abort against the mother's wishes.

Do you believe that innocent people are not alive, or, in war, is it just that its the mens choice to kill?

As soon as a baby is conceived, it is alive. If something can grow, then it is alive....is does not get any more easier to understand than that.
